Rivers United have finalized the signing of midfielder Ani Chigozie on a two‑year contract, the DAILY POST reports.
Chigozie joins the Pride of Rivers under a deal that will keep him at the club until the summer of 2028.
The midfielder is the latest recruit as Rivers United continue to bolster their squad for the 2026/27 season.
He brings NPFL experience, having played for Enyimba FC and Niger Tornadoes.
His stints with the two‑time African champions and the People’s Elephant gave him exposure at both continental and domestic levels.
Chigozie’s profile aligns with the club’s strategy to mix proven NPFL talents with younger players as they aim to improve on last season’s finish.
Rivers United will compete in the CAF Champions League next season.
