Rivers United has announced that admission will be free for supporters attending the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) match on day 38 against Katsina United.
The decision was made by the Rivers State government, which released a statement on Friday.
Officials said the move will allow football fans to witness and participate in what could be a historic moment.
Rivers United are currently in contention for the 2025‑26 NPFL title, with the final match of the season on the horizon.
The team trails league leaders Rangers by a single point on the table.
The Pride of Rivers will face Katsina United in Port Harcourt on Sunday.
