Bayelsa United technical adviser Meremu Okara has voiced his disappointment over the club’s relegation from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The Prosperity Boys, together with Wikki Tourists, have already been demoted to the second tier.
Two additional teams are expected to join them after the conclusion of the matchday 38 fixture this weekend.
Okara said a range of factors contributed to the team’s poor finish to the campaign.
“Honestly we are not happy as we feel sad that we are relegated which is not a good experience,” Okara told FrontPage Sport.
“The management, the players and the coaches are all sad with the development.”
Bayelsa United will face Kwara United in their final league match this weekend.
