NPFL: Ogenyi vows Wikki Tourists will bounce back after relegation 

Evans Ogenyi, the technical adviser of Wikki Tourists, has declared that the club will return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) immediately.

The Bauchi Elephants were relegated to the Nigeria National League (NNL) after finishing the 2025‑26 NPFL season at the bottom of the table.

On the final day of the campaign in Owerri, Wikki Tourists lost 3‑1 to Kun Khalifat FC.

Ogenyi apologized to the club’s supporters for the team’s disappointing performance throughout the season.

"Big clubs go on relegation and with good character and determination, they bounce back immediately, so it shall be with Wikki Tourists," Ogenyi said in a statement to the club’s media.

Wikki Tourists ended the season with 40 points, the lowest in the NPFL. Bayelsa United, El‑Kanemi Warriors, and last season’s champions Remo Stars were also relegated.
