Kwara United praised its players, coaches, supporters and stakeholders after successfully retaining its top‑flight status at the end of the 2025/2026 NPFL season, Completesports.com reports.

The Harmony Boys described their survival battle as a “hard‑fought journey achieved through sacrifice, courage and resilience” despite the numerous challenges encountered throughout the campaign.

Kwara United Praise Players’ Fighting Spirit

The club commended the players for refusing to give up during difficult moments, including injuries, criticism, pressure and other setbacks that characterised the season.

Finishing in 16th position on the NPFL table and escaping relegation by a single‑goal margin reflected the determination and belief within the squad.

Coaching Crew Hailed For Steering Team To Safety

The management also praised the coaching crew for remaining composed during turbulent periods, noting that their leadership, discipline and tactical input played a key role in steering the team away from relegation danger.

Kwara United further apologised to supporters and fans over the disappointing outcome of the final match of the season, admitting that the team fell short of expectations.

The club, however, appreciated the unwavering loyalty and passion shown by supporters throughout the difficult campaign, while assuring them of improved performances next season.

“We cannot wait to return to Ilorin next season, to hear the drums again and see the stands alive once more,” the statement added.

In an emotional conclusion, the club dedicated its escape from relegation to victims of insecurity across Kwara State, praying for peace, safety and hope for affected families and communities.

“Together, we endured. Together, we survived. Together, we move forward,” the statement concluded.
