Kun Khalifat FC President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Amaefula has announced that the gates of Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri will be opened free of charge for fans on Sunday, 24 May 2026, when the club hosts Wikki Tourists of Bauchi in the final match of the 2025/2026 NPFL season, Completesports.com reports.

The announcement was made in a statement personally signed by Amaefula and supplied to Completesports.com.

Kun Khalifat Thanks Loyal Supporters

Amaefula described the club’s fans as “incredible” and said the free admission was a gesture of appreciation for their unwavering support throughout the season, even during difficult moments.

Kun Khalifat has struggled for most of the elite league campaign and now has a chance to ease its relegation worries if it defeats Wikki Tourists in the 38th matchday fixture.

Relegation Battle Reaches Final Day

The Obinna Uzoho‑coached side sits 13th on the table with 46 points after a surprise 2‑0 win over Abia Warriors in Aba on the previous Sunday’s 37th matchday.

Amaefula has now decided to motivate the club’s supporters to play the much‑needed “12th player” role against Wikki Tourists, with a victory potentially enough to secure their NPFL status.
