NPA reports 43 cargo ships have entered Lagos ports.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced that 43 vessels carrying petroleum products, food supplies and other cargoes are scheduled to arrive at Apapa Port, Lekki Deep Sea Port and Tincan Island Port in Lagos.

According to the NPA’s Daily Shipping Position released on Tuesday, the vessels are expected to berth between May 26 and June 6.

The authority noted that eight of the incoming ships are loaded with containers carrying various goods, while the remaining 35 vessels are expected to bring cargoes such as fresh fish, petrol, general cargo, bulk wheat, aviation fuel, diesel and gasoline, among others.

It also reported that 11 vessels and tankers have already arrived at the three ports and are awaiting berthing approval. These ships are carrying containers, gasoline, bulk fertiliser, petrol, crude oil, diesel, condensate and bulk salt.

Additionally, 21 vessels are currently discharging different consignments at the ports, including bulk urea, containers, petrol, trucks, bulk sugar, wheat, millet and bulk gypsum.
