Nominations for the 2026 Insurance Industry Awards Kick Off

The organizers of the annual Almond Insurance Industry Awards announced that nominations for the 2026 edition opened on May 26 and will close on June 30, 2026.

This year’s awards introduce a new category, the Insurtech Company of the Year, to reflect the evolving role of technology in the insurance sector.

At a recent press briefing, Faith Ughwode, Chief Executive Officer of Almond Productions Limited, revealed that a refreshed and expanded panel of judges has been assembled to enhance the event.

Industry veteran Sir Ogala Osoka has been appointed Chairman of the judging panel, succeeding Ms Prisca Soares, the former Executive Secretary of the African Insurance Organisation (AIO), who stepped down after three years in the role.

Osoka brings more than thirty years of experience across multiple sectors beyond insurance.

Other returning panel members include foremost actuary and Vice Chairman Mr Rotimi Okpaise, Mrs Jean Chiazor Anishere, Dr Obinna Chilekezie, and Mr Rasaaq Salami of the National Insurance Commission.
