NNPC Ltd records N481bn profit in April

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) announced a Profit After Tax (PAT) of N481 billion for April 2026.

This figure marks a significant increase from the N276 billion PAT reported for March, according to the company’s April Monthly Report Summary released on its X handle.

Crude oil and condensate production rose to 1.68 million barrels per day (mmbopd) in April, a 7.69 percent rise over March’s level.

Revenue from oil reached N4.971 trillion in the month, up from N2.77 trillion in March, reflecting a 79.23 percent increase.

Gas production remained largely unchanged, at 7,730 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscf/d) compared with 7,731 mmscf/d in March.

Cumulative statutory payments for the period from January to April 2026 totaled N3.714 trillion.

The company highlighted the successful completion of the OB3 River Niger Crossing project as a major milestone during the period.

It also noted ongoing progress on construction and installation activities along the Ajaokuta‑Kaduna‑Kano (AKK) Gas pipeline mainline, aimed at delivering gas to Abuja early in 2026.

The report outlined strategic initiatives undertaken in April to strengthen Nigeria’s energy infrastructure and improve operational performance.
