NNL: Aluo Defends Remo Stars’ Eligibility for Beyond Limits

George Aluo, chairman of the Nigeria National League (NNL), defended the eligibility of Remo Stars and Beyond Limits to compete in the league next season.

Both clubs are owned by businessman and football investor Kunle Soname.

The shared ownership has raised concerns about a potential conflict of interest if the teams were to play in the same division.

Aluo stated that the ownership and operational structures of the Ikenne‑based clubs do not contravene league regulations.

“On paper, the two clubs have different ownership and management structures,” Aluo told Sport Village Square. “Sharing facilities doesn’t automatically amount to a breach of integrity. To preserve sporting integrity, we will ensure that Remo Stars and Beyond Limits are placed in different groups.”
