The Naira further weakened against the dollar in the official foreign‑exchange market on Tuesday.

According to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Naira fell to N1,375.62 per dollar on Tuesday, compared with N1,373.16 per dollar on Monday.

This represents a daily decline of N2.46.

In the parallel (black) market, the Naira held steady at N1,395 per dollar, unchanged from the previous day.

The move occurs even though the nation’s foreign reserves rose to $48.45 billion as of May 11, 2026, according to the central bank.
