NEO invests N90 million in Indigenous engineering innovation competition with 30 teams

The Nigerian Engineering Olympiad (NEO) announced that 30 exceptional innovation teams have been chosen to move on to the regional stage of its national competition, a 10‑month program designed to turn academic research into commercially viable and sustainable businesses.

Every selected team will receive a grant of N3 million to develop prototypes and receive technical mentorship, amounting to an immediate investment of N90 million in home‑grown innovation.

The teams were selected from 375 entries and come from higher‑education institutions in all six Nigerian geopolitical zones, with five projects from each zone. Launched in November 2025, the
