Senator Natasha Akpoti‑Uduaghan has urged residents of Kogi State to complete the ongoing Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) registration before the July 10, 2026 deadline set by INEC.

Speaking publicly on Friday, the Kogi Central lawmaker called on eligible voters—particularly young people and first‑time registrants—to secure their PVCs, describing the card as “the most powerful tool for shaping the future of communities and the nation.”

“Your vote remains your voice, and your voice matters in shaping the future of our communities, our state, and our nation,” she said.

Akpoti‑Uduaghan emphasized that no eligible citizen should be left out, urging those whose voter details require correction to update their records before the deadline.

She also appealed to community leaders, youth groups and civil society organisations to intensify grassroots sensitisation efforts to increase registration across the state.

“Democracy thrives when citizens participate actively. A PVC is not just a card; it is a symbol of your right to determine the future you desire,” the senator added.

INEC is currently conducting nationwide PVC registration and voter information updates ahead of the July 10, 2026 deadline.
