My children asking why they have different mothers – Davido 

Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has opened up about how he handles sharing kids with multiple women, revealing that some of his children were also curious about the situation. 

Speaking in an interview with BBC, Davido candidly disclosed that his two eldest daughters, Imade and Hailey, used to ask why they have different mothers and why they don’t live with him.

He said that the situation also impacts his music, stressing that his first daughter Imade approached him about seeing him dancing with multiple women on TV.

He said, “My children are coming of age and they have started asking why they have different moms and why don’t they live with me and stuff that kids ask. 

“One day, my first daughter walked up to me and said, ‘Daddy, I saw you on TV holding and dancing with two girls’.”

Davido said he tries as much as possible to always be involved in the lives of all his children.

The singer has six children with multiple women. He and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, share twins and tragically lost a son, Ifeanyi. 

Davido’s other children are Imade: born in 2015 to Sophia Momodu, Hailey Veronica Adeleke: born in 2017 to Amanda and Dawson Adeleke: born in 2020 to model Larissa Yasmin Lorenco.
