Super Eagles forward Akor Adams may be leaving Sevilla, with Serie A clubs emerging as serious potential destinations, Afrik‑Foot reports.

The Nigeria international’s steady rise in Spain, coupled with growing interest from Italy, France, Turkey and England, has set up a possible transfer battle ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Adams joined Sevilla with expectations of growth, and he has largely delivered. In the 2024/25 season he scored 10 goals and added four assists in 33 appearances across all competitions. His contributions helped Sevilla escape a difficult La Liga relegation fight and secure their top‑flight status at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium.

The former Montpellier striker also produced eye‑catching displays at international level. During the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Adams registered four goal involvements for Nigeria as the Super Eagles clinched the bronze medal in Morocco. Under head coach Eric Chelle, Adams has boosted his reputation as a reliable, physical forward capable of delivering in big tournaments.

It is no surprise that Adams has become a transfer target for several European top clubs. Spanish outlet ABC de Sevilla reports that multiple Serie A clubs are now tracking the striker, while Sevilla are open to selling him if the right offer arrives. The Spanish side reportedly values him between €25 million and €30 million as they look to balance their finances and reinvest in the squad.

However, several indications point to AC Milan as one of the unnamed Italian clubs looking at Adams.

Why AC Milan could target Akor Adams

AC Milan’s interest in Akor Adams is not new. The Italian giants have been monitoring him since his breakthrough spell at Montpellier, when scouts followed his progress before his move to Sevilla. That long‑standing evaluation gives Milan, who came so close to signing Nigerian forward Victor Boniface last summer, detailed knowledge of his strengths and development curve.

Akor Adams himself has previously acknowledged interest from top European clubs, with Milan among the historic sides that motivated him during his rise in France. That connection has kept his name in their recruitment database as they continue searching for a natural centre‑forward.

From a tactical standpoint, Milan are believed to be missing a strong physical striker who can lead the line. Their current attack relies heavily on mobile forwards like Rafael Leão and Christopher Nkunku, but lacks a traditional target man capable of holding up play, winning aerial duels, and occupying defenders.

Adams is specially made to fit that profile. At 26, he is entering his peak years and offers the kind of physical presence Milan value for Serie A football. His style has often been compared to powerful Nigerian forwards of the past, built around strength, positioning and direct finishing.

Financially, the deal is also realistic but tight. Milan’s summer budget is estimated at €40 million to €50 million, meaning Adams’ asking price of €25 million to €30 million would consume a large portion of their spending power. However, the club could increase flexibility through player sales and loan buy‑back activations, which may free up additional funds.

Competition remains strong. Olympique Marseille are reportedly pushing aggressively for Adams’ signature, while Premier League side Fulham, Turkish clubs, and Saudi Pro League teams are also monitoring the situation. Still, Milan’s scouting history and tactical need make them one of the most logical destinations if Sevilla decide to sell.

With negotiations expected to develop over the coming weeks, Akor Adams’ future could become one of the key transfer storylines of the 2026 summer window.
