Former Real Madrid striker Michael Owen has identified the only two clubs he believes can challenge Arsenal for the Premier League title next season.
Arsenal have already secured this season’s title and will face Crystal Palace in their final match on Sunday evening.
Speaking to Metro UK, Owen said: “I think a challenge for Arsenal next season is only going to come from Manchester.”
“I believe Manchester City will be strong, even if Pep Guardiola leaves. They ran Arsenal very close this season and, with two domestic cups, they will return even stronger.”
“Manchester United can also be a title contender under Michael Carrick. Their form since he arrived makes them a definite title challenger. Liverpool are not there yet.”
