Kylian Mbappé netted a brace as France secured a 3‑1 win over Senegal in Group I, advancing their campaign for a third World Cup title.

The Real Madrid forward extended his World Cup goal total to 14, placing him just two goals shy of all‑time record holder Miroslav Klose. Bradley Barcola also scored, giving Les Bleus all three points under Didier Deschamps.

It was France’s first World Cup victory against Senegal since the latter’s historic win in 2002 during the South Korea and Japan tournament.
