ENUGU—Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State declared that criminals will no longer find refuge within the state, citing his administration’s enhanced ability to anticipate, locate, and prosecute offenders.
He delivered the warning yesterday at the inauguration of the Centre for DNA Forensics and Criminal Investigation (CeDFoCI), a joint venture involving the Enugu State Government, Godfrey Okoye University, and the Nigeria DNA Learning Centre, located within the university’s Ugwuomu campus in Nike, Enugu.
During the ceremony, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN; the Inspector General of Police, Olatunji Disu; and Professor Christian Anieke, Vice Chancellor of Godfrey Okoye University, praised Governor Mbah’s security initiatives, calling the Centre a significant addition to national security and the justice system.
