Matawalle arrives in Gusau, meets party leaders, aspirants ahead of primaries

Dr Bello Muhammad Matawalle, former governor of Zamfara State and current Minister of State for Defence, has arrived in Gusau ahead of the All‑Progressive Congress (APC) primaries in the state.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by Ahmad Dan‑Wudil, Media Adviser to Dr Matawalle, and posted on Facebook.

“Today, the former Governor of Zamfara State and current Minister of State for Defence, Dr Bello Muhammad Matawalle, MON, arrived in Gusau, Zamfara State, ahead of the APC primaries in the state.”

The statement added: “On arrival, the Honourable Minister, alongside the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, His Excellency Dauda Lawal, held a meeting with party leaders and aspirants at the Government House, Gusau.”

Attendees included former governors Senator Ahmad Sani Yarima and Mahmud Aliyu Shinkafi.

Also present were APC State Chairman Kabiru Moyi Birnin Magaji, State Party Secretary Ibrahim Maigandi, and other party stakeholders.
