The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has called on the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to resolve its internal conflict.

In a statement released by spokesperson Edeson Samuel, MASSOB’s leader Uchenna Madu urged the group to end the crisis.

Daily Post reports that IPOB’s leader Nnamdi Kanu was suspended by the group’s Directorate of State, headed by Chika Edoziem.

In response, Edoziem was suspended by Kanu, further escalating the dispute within IPOB.

Reacting to the situation, MASSOB urged IPOB’s leadership to cease the internal rancour for the benefit of Biafra.

According to MASSOB, no period was ever granted to Nnamdi Kanu as “Supreme Leader”; the title belongs to God Almighty.

“Your attacks and counterattacks, allegations and counterallegations, are not useful or healthy for the self‑determination struggle for Biafra’s actualization and restoration,” the group said.

“IPOB, like MASSOB, is a prominent household name and a service to the people of Biafra. Stop insulting and defacing its name.”

MASSOB calls for peace and Biafran unity within IPOB’s leadership, urging members to sheathe their swords and work toward a peaceful resolution of all internal disputes.

“MASSOB wishes to reiterate our position on the leadership of the Biafra nation,” the statement added.

There is no official leadership title or attribute called “Supreme Leader” in Biafra.

The title “Supreme” is an attribute that belongs solely to God Almighty.

Any attempt or agreement to assume the Supreme leadership title is a direct challenge to God Almighty.

It should be recalled that on 29 June 2017, pro‑Biafra organisations under the umbrella of the Biafra People National Council (BPNC), of which MASSOB was involved, declared Mazi Nnamdi Kanu the “arrowhead” of the Biafra struggle. “We did not crown him supreme leader,” MASSOB stated.
