ManchesterUnited and 18 other clubs qualify for the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League

Nineteen clubs, including Manchester United, have already secured a place in the league phase of the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League, according to PUNCH Online.

United clinched their return to Europe’s premier club competition by beating Liverpool 3‑2 at Old Trafford earlier this month.

The victory guaranteed United a top‑five finish in the Premier League, confirming their participation alongside Arsenal and Manchester City, with at least two additional English sides expected to join them.

With most major European leagues set to finish over the next two weekends before the FIFA World Cup, 19 of the 36 spots for the league phase are now known.

The list was confirmed in UEFA’s access list for the 2026/27 Champions League, which was updated on Tuesday.

Further qualifiers will be identified as domestic campaigns conclude later in May.

England

The Premier League offers five Champions League places. Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United are already confirmed. Liverpool and Aston Villa are well‑placed, and a scenario exists in which the sixth‑placed side could also qualify if Villa finish fifth and win the Europa League.

Bournemouth currently hold an advantage over Brighton in the permutations for a final‑day qualification.

La Liga champions Barcelona secured the title on Sunday with a 2‑0 victory over Real Madrid.
