Lobi Stars Restructure Coaching Staff for NNL Campaign

Lobi Stars have reorganized their coaching staff in preparation for the 2026-27 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

The club, known as the Pride of Benue, did not secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last year.

Assistant coaches Benjamin Kude and Mathias Asongu have been reassigned to the club’s U-19 feeder team, where they will work alongside Coach Stephen Waghbo, who has been seconded from the Benue State Sports Council.

Former Lobi Stars goalkeeper Jighjigh Ahungwa has been named goalkeeper coach as part of the club’s effort to strengthen its developmental structure.

In addition to the technical changes, former defender Odeh Ogah has been appointed Assistant Team Manager for the U-19 feeder squad.

Management believes that these adjustments will create a more competitive and disciplined side, better equipped to meet the challenges of the upcoming campaign.
