Liverpool have firmly denied that Rio Ngumoha’s future is in doubt, despite reports linking the teenage forward with Bayern Munich, TEAMtalk reports.

Sources at Anfield say the club is unhappy with claims that Bayern have already reached an agreement with Ngumoha and his representatives, insisting there has never been any uncertainty about the youngster’s long‑term future at Merseyside.

The story also alleged that Bayern manager Vincent Kompany had tried to persuade the highly‑rated attacker to move to Bavaria.

Liverpool have dismissed those allegations, arguing that Bayern would not risk violating transfer regulations by approaching and negotiating with a first‑team player still under contract.

TEAMtalk understands that while Bayern genuinely admire Ngumoha’s talent, Liverpool’s stance remains unchanged.

The Reds view the teenager as one of the club’s most exciting prospects and have no intention of entertaining a transfer.

Sources say Liverpool’s focus is solely on securing Ngumoha’s long‑term future, not on any potential exit.

The England Under‑19 international will turn 18 in August, and the club is already planning the next stage of his development.

Ngumoha signed a contract until 2028 last September after joining Liverpool from Chelsea in 2024, but the hierarchy sees that agreement as only the first step.

Under current regulations, players aged 17 can sign contracts of up to three years in length.
