LaLiga: Casillas lists 10 managers Real Madrid should have hired instead of Mourinho

Former Real Madrid manager Iker Casillas has listed ten managers that he believes the club should have appointed instead of José Mourinho.

The LaLiga champions are expected to confirm Mourinho as their next manager, while Álvaro Arbeloa is set to depart. Arbeloa had only taken over from Xabi Alonso in January.

Casillas, who has publicly criticized Mourinho, posted on social media the coaches he thinks Los Blancos should have chosen.

His list includes Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, Unai Emery who recently won the Europa League with Aston Villa, Cesc Fàbregas of Como, and even Zinedine Zidane, who has managed Madrid twice before.

He tweeted: “Unai Emery, Kompany, Xabi Alonso, Cesc Fàbregas, Arteta, Iraola, Zidane, Bordalas, Iñigo Pérez, Del Bosque.”
