All advisers, as well as the deputy chief of staff and the principal private secretary to Governor Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State, have been relieved of their appointments.
On Monday, Mashood Agboola, the governor’s deputy chief press secretary, issued a statement indicating that the move was a minor cabinet reshuffle.
The statement read: “Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved a minor cabinet shake-up involving all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants.”
According to the statement, the decision aims to provide opportunities for additional party members and infuse fresh energy into the administration. The deputy chief of staff and the principal private secretary to the governor are also affected.
The statement noted that the governor expressed gratitude to all the appointees for their invaluable service to the state and wished them success in future endeavors.
The governor also directed the affected appointees to return all government property in their possession to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
