Kogi: Abducted mother, four-month-old baby rescued

Security forces rescued a woman and her four‑month‑old baby after they were kidnapped during a bandit raid on the Ijalu compound in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area, Kogi State.

The abduction occurred on Wednesday evening when suspected bandits entered the Ijalu area of Egbe and seized the mother and child during an attack along the Solid Rock School axis of the community.

The victims were liberated in a joint operation conducted by local security personnel in Egbe and troops of the Nigerian Army.

Earlier reports from DAILY POST noted that the mother and child were taken on Wednesday night when armed attackers invaded the Ijalu community, sparking panic among residents.

Following the abduction, security operatives launched a coordinated search operation to locate the assailants.

The efforts culminated in the successful rescue of both victims.
