Kefas constitutes security advisory committee in Taraba

Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has approved the creation of a Security Advisory Committee to enhance security management and coordination throughout the state. The decision was announced in a statement released on Thursday in Jalingo by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Chief Barrister Gebon Timothy Kataps.

The committee will comprise experienced retired senior security officers drawn from various branches of Nigeria’s security establishment. It is intended to offer expert guidance to the state government on emerging security threats and on effective response strategies.

Appointed members include retired Deputy Director‑General of the Department of State Services, Jonathan Kure; Boniface Robert Sinjen; Henry Tafida Wesley; Abubakar Adamu; J. Akila; Kabir Aliyu; Hassan Hosea Karma; Edward Bobsom Umar; S.S. Garba; Gani Danyaya; and DT Audu.

The state government stated that Governor Kefas will formally inaugurate the committee in the near future. It will immediately begin advising on policy options and operational strategies designed to protect lives and property across Taraba State.
