After a series of bandit attacks in several parts of Kebbi State, Governor Nasir Idris convened an emergency security meeting to refine the state’s security strategy.
The meeting took place on Friday at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi and aimed to enhance coordinated responses to emerging security threats and to implement sustainable solutions.
Governor Idris voiced deep concern over the recent attacks and reiterated his administration’s commitment to eradicating insecurity, stating that every resident should be able to “sleep with both eyes closed.”
“My administration will not tolerate or spare anyone found to be an informant. Anyone found culpable will face the full weight of the law, and justice will be served,” he said.
While praising the efforts of the state’s security agencies, the governor highlighted their significant role in maintaining peace and harmony.
“I urge all residents to continue supporting security agencies by providing credible information. People should not withhold information; they should share it promptly,” he added.
