Kebbi APC Confirms Idris as 2027 Governorship Candidate

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State has confirmed Governor Nasir Idris as its candidate for the 2027 governorship election.

The confirmation was made during the APC governorship primary held at Haliru Abdu Stadium in Birnin Kebbi on Thursday, with delegates and party members from throughout the state in attendance.

Abdulmalik Mahmud, chairman of the APC Governorship Primary Election Committee and former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, announced that Idris had been affirmed as the party’s flag bearer.

Mahmud explained that the committee had come to Kebbi State to conduct the primary exercise and to solidify the party’s choice.

After the affirmation, Governor Idris accepted the nomination and vowed to continue implementing development projects across the state if re‑elected in 2027.

He also expressed gratitude to party leaders and former governors in the state for their support and participation in the exercise.

The event was attended by delegates representing the 225 political wards of Kebbi State, as well as former governors and other APC stakeholders.
