Katsina Governor’s Aide Wins APC Primary for Mani/Bindawa House Seat

Jamila Mani, the Special Assistant on Girl Child Education and Development to the Governor of Katsina State, has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary for the Mani/Bindawa Federal Constituency.

The primary took place on Saturday as part of the party’s National Assembly primaries in preparation for the 2027 general elections.

Mani secured 24,989 votes, defeating her nearest rival, Ahmed Saleh, who received 1,256 votes.

In other constituencies across the state, the APC held its primaries through affirmation following a consensus arrangement agreed upon by stakeholders.

The party is conducting House of Representatives primaries in several states ahead of the 2027 general elections.
