Dutch coach Simon Kalika has voiced his support for Samson Siasia to become the head coach of the Nigeria U‑23 Eagles, citing the former striker’s impressive track record in the role, Completesports.com reports.
Kalika, who assisted Siasia at the 2005 FIFA U‑20 World Cup in the Netherlands and the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, told Completesports.com from the Netherlands on Friday night that his endorsement of Siasia is based solely on the former Super Eagles player’s achievements and his talent‑scouting and development abilities.
Siasia’s Coaching Pedigree Stands Out
He made these remarks while the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) considered appointing a permanent coach for the U‑23 men’s national team, where Daniel Amokachi and Samson Siasia are the leading candidates.

“If you list the achievements of the two coaches—Amokachi and Siasia—on a piece of paper, you will see that one has far better results,” Kalika said.
