Abusing Tinubu is not a career – Joe Igbokwe mocks Sowore

APC leader Joe Igbokwe has accused detained activist Omoyele Sowore of building a career on insulting President Bola Tinubu. DAILY POST reports that Sowore was remanded into Kuje Prison on Monday after allegedly refusing to appear in court in a trial concerning a comment he made on his social media accounts.

Sowore faces prosecution for allegedly calling the Nigerian president a criminal.

After the Abuja Federal High Court ordered Sowore’s remand, Igbokwe posted on his official Facebook page in support of the ruling, saying that abusing Tinubu “is not a career.”

Igbokwe also alleged that Sowore had taken the law into his own hands, pointing to various protests the activist had organized.

He added: “Nigeria is not a lawless country. Sowore has taken the law into his own hands for years. Protests on the streets, disturbing public peace, abusing law enforcement officers, encouraging killers in the South East, and abusing PBAT—these are not a career.”
