JAMB to Hold UTME Mop‑Up Exam on June 13

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has scheduled the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop‑up test for Saturday, 13 June 2026. The test is intended for candidates who registered for the 2026 UTME, were biometrically verified, but were unable to sit the exam for various reasons.

The main 2026 UTME took place from 23 to 29 April. Technical difficulties at some centres prevented a number of candidates from taking the test. In addition, a few results were withdrawn due to examination infractions, and some candidates could not be verified biometrically. All affected candidates have been added to the mop‑up list.

In a statement released Monday evening, JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin said, “The mop‑up examination represents the final phase of the annual UTME exercise and serves as an opportunity to address all outstanding examination challenges involving candidates who duly presented themselves but encountered difficulties in taking the examination.”

Benjamin added that candidates in this category should begin printing their Examination Notification Slips on Saturday, 6 June 2026.

JAMB further urged affected candidates to print their Notification Slips, familiarize themselves with their examination centres, and make all necessary arrangements before the exam date, noting that there will be no further opportunity to sit the 2026 UTME after this mop‑up exercise.
