A student of Grundtvig International Secondary School, Oba, Anambra State, Michael Offorkile, has emerged as the 5th highest scorer in this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, with a score of 367.
In a statement, the school praised Offorkile’s performance, saying it reflects the strong academic foundation and training given to him and other students.
“We proudly celebrate the outstanding performance of our Class of 2026 in the 2026 JAMB/UTME. Our top scorer, Michael Offorkile, an NNPC/SNEPCo NC2C Scholar, achieved an exceptional score of 367 — the 5th highest JAMB UTME score in Nigeria, according to JAMB,” the statement read.

The school added that its SS3 students recorded strong results, with about a quarter of the class scoring 300 and above.
“This once again reflects Grundtvig’s longstanding tradition of academic excellence, discipline, and holistic student development.
This achievement is a testament to the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers, and the unwavering support of our parents,” the statement continued.
“We congratulate Michael, the entire Class of 2026, our dedicated staff, and our supportive parents on this outstanding achievement. We wish our students continued success in their academic pursuits and future endeavours.”
