Israeli and Hezbollah forces continued to exchange fire on Tuesday, even after U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that his intervention had averted an escalation on Monday.
Lebanese media reported that Israel conducted strikes in several locations in southern Lebanon, resulting in one fatality. The Lebanese Armed Forces said that two of its soldiers were wounded in the same clashes.
Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesperson Avichay Adraee issued new evacuation warnings for residents of Nabatiyeh, a southern Lebanese city, citing planned “forceful action” against alleged Hezbollah targets in the area.
In a post on X on Tuesday, the IDF said that air‑alert sirens were activated in response to rocket and drone attacks aimed at northern Israel.
Hezbollah also claimed that it launched a missile attack on an Israeli tank in Hadatha, southern Lebanon, during the early hours of Tuesday morning.
