The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, has called on the Federal Government to issue a 90‑day ultimatum to Nigeria’s security chiefs: end terrorism or step down.

Adeboye made the statement in a video that he reposted on his official X account on Tuesday, voicing concern over the country’s security situation and the ongoing threat from terrorist groups.

He urged those responsible for national security to be held accountable for producing tangible results in the fight against terrorism.

“If I were asked to make suggestions, I would say quietly to our government, ‘Move fast and tell our security chiefs, get rid of these terrorists within 90 days or resign,’” he said.

The cleric also urged the government to intensify actions against individuals and groups that provide financial and logistical support to terrorist organisations.

According to Adeboye, security operations should target not only armed terrorists but also those who sponsor and facilitate their activities, regardless of their status or influence.

“When giving orders to the service chiefs this time around, we should make it clear to them that they are not only to eliminate the terrorists; they should eliminate their sponsors, no matter how influential they may be,” he added.

His remarks come amid growing public concern over insecurity in parts of the country, including recent abductions of school children and teachers in Oyo.
