INEC declares Envulu‑Anza winner of Nasarawa North senatorial by‑election

INEC announced that Barrister Danladi Halilu Envulu‑Anza of the APC has won the Nasarawa North senatorial by‑election with 45,362 votes.

The results were declared by the returning officer, Professor Aminu Ali, on Sunday at the College of Education in Akwanga.

Halilu Danladi of the APC received 45,362 votes, while Hon Labaran Maku of the Labour Party came second with 12,931 votes. Emmanuel David Ombugadu of the PDP secured 11,331 votes.

Other candidates received the following totals: Mohammed Stephen Alaku of the ADC obtained 4,244 votes, and Arc. Ishaya Dubai Dodo of the NDC received 1,496 votes.

Several political parties have expressed protests over the results.
