Kelechi Iheanacho said he still cannot explain how he managed the pressure of taking a stoppage‑time penalty that secured Celtic’s 3‑2 victory over Motherwell.

His composed conversion of the decisive penalty ignited wild celebrations among the travelling supporters.

The goal puts Saturday’s home match against league leaders Hearts in a position to decide the Scottish title.

Iheanacho Hails Winning Goal

“To be fair, I don’t have words and I don’t know how I did that, but we’ve done it,” Iheanacho told Sky Sports after his late match‑winner.

“I think first of all I just remember that I’ve thought this type of thing before and I just kept my cool and brave.”

“It’s scary to be fair but I don’t know what I was thinking.”

“Thank God we got the win so we’re happy.”
