Igboho Comments on Condition of Injured Iru Ekun Operatives After Oyo Abduction

Sunday Igboho, a prominent figure in the Yoruba community, has provided an update on the condition of several injured members of his private security group, Iru Ekun.

The Daily Post reports that some Iru Ekun operatives were ambushed by bandits three days ago while searching for the abducted Oriire students and teachers in the Old Oyo State National Park.

There were also rumors that Igboho himself had been injured and overpowered by the gunmen.

Speaking two days after the rumors surfaced, Igboho released a video on June 28, 2026, in which he denied having been harmed and reaffirmed his commitment to drive the kidnappers out of the state.

He also reported that the injured operatives are feeling better and are in good condition.

“Greetings to my mothers and my fathers out there, it’s me your son Sunday Igboho. Greetings to my brothers and sisters home and abroad. Today is June 28, 2026, a lot of rumours have been going viral but I’m here to let my supporters know that I’m fine.”

“There’s nothing wrong with me. The injured members are doing fine too. There’s no going back until the Fulani kidnappers vacate our land before we can relent. I’m assuring you that.”
