I Don’t Like Adams’ Move To Venezia —Ex-Super Eagles Star

Former Super Eagles star Ifeanyi Udeze has questioned Akor Adams’ transfer from Sevilla to Serie A new comers Venezia.

Adams completed a permanent transfer from Sevilla to Venezia in a deal believed to be around €17 million, while performance-related bonuses could push the total value close to €23.5 million.

But commenting on the move, Udeze admitted that he is not happy that Adams decided to join Venezia.

“I don’t like the move from Sevilla to Venezia but at the end of the day it’s his career he’s the one that’s wearing the shoe but I can only wish him all the best,” Udeze said on Brila FM.

On why he decided to join Venezia, Adams said:“I chose to come here because I see the extraordinary project Venezia is building, and I want to contribute to writing a new chapter in its history.

“I want to tell the fans that what they manage to create in such a special place is truly incredible. The energy and passion they convey are unique. I have seen so many videos of the matches and I have been impressed by their constant support.

“I believe this team deserves to be in the Serie A. It belongs in that league, also because of the affection and support the fans have always shown over the years. They are loyal, passionate, and never fail to support us. I am proud to be a part of all this.”

Originally founded as Venezia Foot Ball Club in 1907, the club have spent a large part of their history in Italy’s top two divisions.

Venezia’s biggest achievement to date was winning the Coppa Italia in the 1940–41 season. They followed this cup success up with their highest Serie A finish of third place in the following season.
