In a notable casting decision, Norwegian striker Erling Haaland will lend his voice to a fierce Viking warrior in a forthcoming animated film.
The towering Manchester City centre‑forward has often been likened to a marauding Viking on the field, having set numerous records, including becoming the fastest player to reach 100 Premier League goals.
Producers at the Cannes Film Festival confirmed that Haaland is part of the cast of “Viqueens,” a film directed by fellow Norwegian Harald Zwart, known for “The Karate Kid.”
The children’s story, scheduled for a Christmas Day release, takes place in a world of fearless warrior girls, icy fjords, and Silk Road mythology.
