Manchester City’s departing manager Pep Guardiola cautioned his squad against emulating the conduct of Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes.

According to The Athletic, the warning followed City’s 3‑0 derby win over United in September.

Guardiola chose not to focus on his own players’ performance, instead turning the spotlight on Fernandes.

The 55‑year‑old left the Etihad at the end of a season in which Fernandes set a new assists record.
