Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, visited the family of the late Ummulkhairi Usman Aliyu in Maraban, Jos, expressing condolences and promising that all those responsible for her death would face justice.
During the visit, he met with the victim’s husband, Malam Aliyu, and other relatives, offering heartfelt sympathy, praying for Ummulkhairi’s soul, and asking Almighty Allah to grant the family strength and patience.
Governor Sani reiterated his administration’s commitment to delivering justice, noting that security agencies were following every available lead to apprehend all perpetrators.
“I want to assure the family that those responsible for this heinous act will be identified, arrested and prosecuted. No one connected with this tragic incident will escape the full weight of the law,” the governor said.
He revealed that 41 suspects have been arraigned for culpable homicide and 30 others charged with unlawful assembly. Seventeen individuals found not culpable have been released, while 41 remain under investigation as security agencies continue to pursue additional suspects still at large.
He also assured the family that investigations continue and that any police officer directly or indirectly involved would face appropriate legal sanctions.
