Genk to decide on signing Yira Sor, a speedy player with one Super Eagles cap

Super Eagles winger Yira Sor is expected to depart Belgian Jupiler Pro League side Genk at the end of the season, according to Afrik‑Foot.

Since his January 2023 arrival from Slavia Prague, Sor’s spell at Genk has been inconsistent.

Genk invested €6.5 million in the 25‑year‑old forward, hoping he would develop and eventually generate a higher resale value.

His performances have been intermittent, and he has struggled to cement a regular place in the starting eleven.

In the current campaign, Sor has appeared in 26 league matches, starting only ten of them. He has recorded four goals and one assist, with his last start coming on 7 March.
