Funke Akindele comments on the death of Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo

Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress and filmmaker, publicly expressed her sorrow over the death of fellow actor Alex Ekubo.

According to DAILY POST, Ekubo was taken to hospital on Monday and later died following a prolonged struggle with liver cancer.

The actor’s death occurred on Tuesday afternoon after several hours on life support.

In a post on Instagram, Akindele wrote: “Hmmmmm. Rest in peace, Alex.

“I really tried to reach out to see you one more time, but I guess you knew best. May your kind soul rest in peace, Alex. Ore mi, as you fondly called me, I will always remember and cherish the good times we shared together. REST IN PEACE, ALEX,” she said.
