The Ogun‑Guangdong Free Trade Zone (OGFTZ), together with Zone Enterprises, marked the 2026 Children’s Day with a lively funfair designed to promote education, unity, and youth development in the surrounding communities.

The event gathered education stakeholders, community leaders, teachers, parents, and students in a vibrant setting that blended excitement, learning, and entertainment.

It underscores the organisation’s belief that education is a key pillar for national growth and sustainable community development.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Joseph Ibikunle, Education Officer of the Ogun State Ministry of Education and Head of Academics and School Services for the Ado‑Ado/Ota Local Government Education Authority, praised the programme as a commendable initiative that encourages and stimulates academic development among students. He applauded OGFTZ for its ongoing investment in education and urged students to stay focused on their studies and avoid distractions that could hinder their future aspirations.

Representing the host community monarchs, Oba Nosiru Teslim, the Olodan of Odan Abuja, expressed appreciation for OGFTZ and Zone Enterprises’ consistent support and commitment to the well‑being of the host communities. He highlighted the initiative as a genuine concern for the younger generation’s future and urged students to take their education seriously, noting that “no legacy is greater than education.”

Ms. Yuan Guo, Admin Manager of China‑Africa Investment FZC and a member of OGFTZ top management, stated that the initiative reflects the company’s unwavering commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility. She said empowering young people through education remains one of the organisation’s core priorities. She added that children are “the most precious treasure and the hope of the future,” and that the company had carefully prepared a range of games, refreshments, and special gifts to ensure every child enjoyed a memorable celebration. She thanked sponsors and educational stakeholders and reiterated the company’s dedication to investing in students as future leaders, innovators, and contributors to national development.
