Ligue 1 club Paris Saint‑Germain swept the 2025/26 UNFP Awards ceremony in Paris on Monday, with forward Ousmane Dembélé named Ligue 1 Player of the Year.
The French winger claimed the accolade for the second time in his career after a standout season with PSG, succeeding former teammate Kylian Mbappé, who had won the award five straight times before moving to Real Madrid.
The 2025 Ballon d’Or winner and ‘The Best’ award recipient contributed directly in 16 league matches, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists.
In the 2026 campaign he added 12 direct goal contributions in Ligue 1, one fewer than Esteban Lepaul.
Speaking after receiving the trophy, Dembélé highlighted the role of his teammates.
“This is an individual trophy, but all the individual trophies I’ve won are thanks to this team,” he said in a statement released by PSG on Monday.
PSG youngster Désiré Doué was also honoured, winning the Best Young Player award for his performances this season.
In the coaching category, Pierre Sage was named Coach of the Year after steering Lens to one of PSG’s closest title challenges.
Lens also supplied the league’s Best Goalkeeper, with Robin Risser receiving the award after a series of impressive displays.
Michael Olise was recognised as the Best French Player Abroad, following a strong season with Bayern Munich.
