Rivers State Commissioner for Youths, Hon. Chisom Gbali, has submitted his resignation from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The resignation letter, dated May 13, was addressed to the party’s chairman in Ward 1 of Oyigbo Local Government Area.
Gbali said he reached the decision after careful reflection and personal consideration.
“I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the leadership and members of the party for the opportunities, relationships and experiences I gained during my time as a member of the party,” he wrote.
“I kindly request that my name be removed from the party’s membership records and registers accordingly,” he added.
The announcement was made public a few hours after Governor Siminalayi Fubara withdrew from the APC governorship primary.
