The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has urged motorists traveling through parts of Kaduna State and the Federal Capital Territory to use the Kachia‑Bwari route. The move is intended to relieve traffic congestion and promote safer travel.
FRSC Marshal Shehu Mohammed delivered the message, calling on road users to exercise caution and cooperate with traffic officials who are overseeing vehicle flow on busy corridors.
He explained that the Kachia‑Bwari route offers a safer alternative, particularly for those heading toward the Federal Capital Territory and its environs, where major roads are experiencing heightened traffic pressure.
Mohammed stressed the importance of obeying traffic regulations, avoiding dangerous overtaking, speeding, and reckless driving. “Motorists should prioritize safety and obey traffic rules while avoiding speeding, dangerous overtaking, drunk driving and other traffic violations that could lead to avoidable crashes,” he said.
The FRSC also confirmed that officers have been deployed to monitor traffic flow and assist travelers as part of its efforts to reduce accidents and ease movement.
