The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the start of its 2026 recruitment drive, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for positions in the officer, marshal inspectorate, and road marshal assistant cadres.
The recruitment notice, issued on Thursday, states that the exercise is open to eligible candidates seeking appointments in various categories within the organization.
Vacancies are available for the following positions: Superintendent Route Commander (SRC), Route Commander/Deputy Route Commander (RC/DRC), Assistant Route Commander (ARC), Marshal Inspector II and III, and Road Marshal Assistant I, II and III.
Applicants for officer cadre positions must hold relevant university degrees or Higher National Diplomas (HNDs) from recognized institutions. Candidates applying for the marshal inspectorate and road marshal assistant cadres must meet the academic and professional requirements set for their respective categories.
The FRSC also noted that artisans, drivers, and riders with appropriate qualifications and experience are eligible to apply under the road marshal assistant cadre.
Applicants must be Nigerian by birth, computer literate, and medically fit. Holding a valid National Driver’s Licence is considered an advantage.
Other requirements include a certificate of medical fitness from a government‑approved hospital, relevant professional licences where applicable, and compliance with the minimum height requirement of 1.65 metres for males and 1.58 metres for females.
The corps requires applicants to be of good character, free from financial embarrassment, and not convicted of any criminal offence.
Applications will open on Friday, July 3, 2026 and must be submitted within four weeks through the official recruitment portal.
The FRSC emphasized that the recruitment exercise is free of charge and warned prospective applicants to beware of fraudsters, reiterating that no payment is required at any stage of the process.
